BB3LIVE has performed across Dorset at hotels, country houses, coastal venues and barns. Our local history includes both weddings and other celebrations, with repeat visits giving us a practical understanding of different performance spaces.
The Three Tuns, The Cumberland Hotel and Jazz Cafe are among the venues where we have played both weddings and other events. Each has a different atmosphere, and those experiences help us plan the music around the room and the people in it.
THE THREE TUNS
We have played many weddings and other events at The Three Tuns in Bransgore. Its traditional barn character, welcoming atmosphere and excellent staff have made it a memorable place to celebrate.
THE CUMBERLAND HOTEL
We have performed at weddings and other events in both a large function room and a smaller room with a black-and-white chequered dance floor. We enjoyed both spaces and remember the hotel’s Art Deco feel.
JAZZ CAFE
Jazz Cafe in Sandbanks is another setting we know from both weddings and other events. It stands out in our memories as a particularly cool place to play.
Our wider Dorset performance history includes The Italian Villa at Compton Acres, The Pig on the Beach, The Blue Pool, Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel, Captain’s Club Hotel, Kingston Country Courtyard and many other venues. These performances span weddings and other celebrations.

We do not use backing tracks or sequencers during our live performances. The music comes from the musicians in front of you, giving us the freedom to respond to the crowd and keep the performance connected to the room.

THE RUNNING ORDER
Our standard live performance is up to two hours, usually split into two 60-minute sets or three 40-minute sets. If your evening includes dinner, speeches, presentations or a surprise, we’ll work with you to plan the running order so the live music fits naturally around your celebration.
THE PERFORMANCE SPACE
We will talk through the band’s position, available space, access and power. Thinking about the relationship between the band, bar and dance floor helps you make the most of the room.
SOUND & LIGHTING
Share any sound limits, finish times or equipment requirements from your venue. We have experience adapting our setup, but need the current details to advise on what is suitable.
MUSIC BETWEEN SETS
We will discuss music between live performances so the evening keeps its atmosphere when the band takes a break. Tell us about any particular songs or moments you have in mind.
Celebrating Somewhere Different?
PRIVATE HOMES, GARDENS & MARQUEE PARTIES.
Your party does not have to take place in a conventional event venue. We have also performed at private-home and marquee celebrations, where the setting can make the evening feel particularly personal.
These bookings need a little extra preparation. Tell us about access, power, the proposed performance area and nearby neighbours. For outdoor plans, we will also discuss suitable cover and the alternative arrangements if the weather changes.
A photograph or floor plan can be helpful when we talk through the setting. Larger marquees and more complex outdoor events may need a tailored production arrangement.
